what are some good places that i can perform (guitar&sing) in davis square? i'm 16 and i hear that you don't need a permit to play music. my friend will probably accompany me. we just wanna play for fun. tia~

I think they sometimes have an open mic at Johnny D's. I see lots of people playing on the street kind of near the raised shopping plaza whose name I'm blanking on (Davis Square Village). Whatever it is, it's near Chipotle. I also see people play outside the T station. I don't know if you were hoping for more indoor places, but I'm not so familiar with open mic type things there.

The Davis Square Starbucks has an open mic night every Wednesday night starting at 7:30pm. Sign ups are 6:30ish i think...open to anyone!

The Burren has open mic on Tuesdays in the back room.
