Question 3

Forgive my ignorance, but now that the ban on dog racing thankfully has been passed, what happens to the dogs?
Will they be put to sleep? Go to the mspca? Did they have a follow up program prepared?

If not, can we start something? Because we will need to act fast to make this vote not be in vain if they don't already have a plan.

Yeah, if no one was around she'd stretch out on the 6' couch in the living room. But if the people were in the family room, she had to be too! And then meant dog + people on the loveseat.

I don't know. They were warned that they aren't good with anesethia, and they even too her to a specialist vet, but *shrug.* They ended up mail-ordering her a special food, but at least she kept it down. :)

Oh that's right! It's the hearts. They tend to have issues with their hearts and the anesthesia. Which is why it's always better to get them fixed BEFORE you put them out to be adopted. God forbid someone fall in love with a pupper then have them pass during the adoption process (happened to one of our fosters being adopted, and was heart breaking)

We lived in Upstate NY and that adoption agency made the adopters fix the pets. They paid something towards it, and recommended a vet, but you had to get it done yourself. No idea why they did it that way. Aw, man, that is sad. :(
