Legal, quasi-legal or not-legal-but-safe places to park around Fresh Pond?

Does anyone know of a place to park around Fresh Pond without a Cambridge permit? I want to take a friend from out of town there but don't want to also be showing them Pat's towing... ;-)

You probably know this already, but Cambridge resident parking on streets is not in effect on Sundays.
