Wal-Mart comes to Davis Square

No, not the store, but one of their empty shopping carts. In the past week I've seen it in two different places on Day Street, and now next to the bike racks in Seven Hills Park behind the Holland Street T entrance.

I have no idea how it got here, since the closest Wal-Mart store is 9 miles away in Lynn.

first the zombie carts. then they sprout roots. then more carts appear. the walmart host advances. critical mass occurs, and they can convert raw matter like willow trees, pasta joints, diesel, coffee grounds, patchouli, and urban detritus into structure. soon, they self-populate with good you THOUGH came from china, but are actually MANUFACTURED right there from the very dirt itself. yes. beware. it starts with one. keep your eyes open, and be alert.

They can convert Diesel into Wal-Mart fodder? No! My lesbian hot chocolate! (I don't drink coffee.)

Well, this should raise some interesting questions for the dedicated locavores among us.
