space for ukulele players

this is a long shot, as we'll probably end up at an apartment but- a group of beginner ukulele players is looking for a space to gather/drink/practice, and i was curious if anyone has some insight into a local place davis/porter/harvard that wouldn't mind a little random noodling on a weeknight if we promised to drink/buy food.

Cantab Lounge in Central (on Mass Ave) has bluegrass night on Tuesdays and a "picking party" in the basement room, like an open jam for banjos, mandolins, etc. I doubt they'd mind if you all practice there, but I'm not positive.

that's a good idea, i've joined in on the picking party with my uke, but the other musicians were a little weirded out. maybe if i came with a posse next time...
