Boston Common is commandeered by Shakespeare in the park. Outdoor concerts are banned in Arlington. City Hall Plaza wanted an outrageous amount of money, which wouldn't work for a non-profit. The City of Waltham would not answer calls. Brookline only allows jazz to be played outdoors.Other suburbs' rec depts played more games with me than a granny at Foxwoods Casino.
Time being of the essence, I got permission from our CEO and District Manager to do a booking at an indoor venue, and since we recently did two events at the Armory in Somerville, and loved working with them, this venue was our obvious choice.
