Somervillains!

Since training needs to start ASAP, I thought I'd take one last opportunity to try to recruit local Davis Square people to our 2009 Jimmy Fund Team. Compared to most major charity walks, the fundraising minimum to participate is very small ($250). So far, we are an awesome 4 person team which includes one of your beautiful and amazing moderators (no, I'm not talking about [livejournal.com profile] ron_newman).

I have done several major charity walks this year and I can tell you it is a very rewarding experience. If you would like to join our team, you can click here. Also, a couple of our team members have yet to reach the $250 minimum, so if you'd like to support fellow DS members, you can certainly donate as well by clicking on their name*.

*The "general team donation" option does not help anybody reach the fundraising requirements, so I'd really appreciate it if you would donate to either Jude or Caitlin directly.

The point of a fundraising walk is to.... raise funds. The main way these walks raise the funds is they require each participant to raise $X amount in order to walk. That's kind of the entire point.
