2nd Urban Barn Dance is Oct 16; now at Kendall Square!!
xposted with b0st0n; of special interest since we were in Davis Sq last year and it was fun.
As a Mass Farmers Market board member, I'd like to tell you that:
TICKETS NOW AVAILABLE for the 2nd Annual Urban Barn Dance!
The 2nd Annual Urban Barn Dance and Harvest Supper will be held on Friday, October 16th from 6:30 -- 9:30 pm at the Dante Alighieri Center in Kendall Square, Cambridge! Tickets are $50, and include a seasonal feast plus dancing. To purchase, e-mail martha at massfarmersmarkets.org or call (781) 893-8222.
Last year's event at the Dilboy VFW in Davis Square was such a success that we have enlarged the venue -- there will be room for over 150 guests to enjoy Bob Sargent's seasonal cooking and to kick up their heels to contras called by David Titus and music by Sean Smith and Friends.
Plenty of validated parking available at the Kendall Square Theater just around the corner!
Just a note: last year's event was amazing! The food (which has *plenty* of vegetarian choices) was like Thanksgiving dinner cooked by God - heck, I even ate the Brussels Sprouts and I am not that kind of girl!, and the music got all sorts of people up and dancing who self-described as "not having a square-dancing gene" - and it's a great cause!
