Developers running amok has become a huge problem in Somerville. Nothing seems to matter, not neighborhood concerns, not zoning laws, not even fire laws. Money talks and that's the bottom line. This administration has allowed numerous developments to go forward that skirt or outright violate zoning and other restrictions. They have even allowed developers to ignore the accepted plans and build as they choose.
I saw a rendering of the monstrosity being placed beside the Rosebud. For me, that is one of the death knells of the charm of Davis Square. The Rosebud, a somewhat historical diner location, will certainly lose out in a huge way.
