I've had the same experience as smoagendash with Swiss Watchmaker - it took a week to get their estimate and then the estimate was twice what the watch was worth (~$200) and would take 2 weeks for the repair (they claimed the watch needed a complete overhaul). I replaced the battery, and the watch has kept perfect time ever since.
