basement/foundation repairs

With the recent rains we've had some water in our basement, causing the concrete floor to start cracking and chipping, and some of the concrete/plaster that covers the exterior of the foundation has started to flake away too.  Can anyone recommend a good basement/foundation repair and waterproofing company?  We could probably patch the cracks and chipped concrete ourselves, but really think we need the bigger issue of waterproofing to be addressed by a professional.  Anyone have similar work done and would recommend the company you used?

I tagged this 'home repair'. There may be old posts that are helpful, but I haven't looked to be sure.

Give Tom Aliberti a call (781-488-3257). They are based in Medford and did extensive masonry work in our basement, as well as rebuilt a retaining wall a year later. Excellent work, fair price, and Tom is an honest, straight up, good guy.

we used D'Alelio Construction Inc. out of swampscott for our foundation rebuild. They did a really nice job

We recently had Jim from American Made Masonry do similar repointing/reinforcing/waterproofing done in our basement and the results are great. He is honest about what needs to be done, will help prioritize what is important, and uses the best materials. americanmademasonry@yahoo.com or 617-543-4953
