Tons of junk

hey all,
I currently live in the Somerville area, plan on moving around the end of August and I have a tone of stuff that needs to go.
I've been shopping around for trash removal people, though I am still not having much luck.
I have 2 old TV's, a poor quality pool table, one dead dell PC and a couple of monitors.
Can I get a recommendation of where I can donate or dispose of these items?
Thanks

Solutions at Work (http://www.solutionsatwork.org/DonateGoods/DonateGoods.html#GetConnected) will take some working computer products; they're not interested in CRTs, but if your monitors are flat-panel they'll take them.

Somerville has an electronics recycling program for Sony products, at the dump on Poplar Street. They definitely won't take other brands.

Properly disposing of CRTs (televisions or monitors) is difficult and expensive; you might end up paying someone a small fee to take them off your hands, if they're not Sony and you can't find a place to donate them.

Somerville will dispose of computers and monitors for free, but you have to call for pickup. See here (http://www.somervillema.gov/Section.cfm?org=Environ&page=112).

That says they will take monitors, but it doesn't say anything about computers.

They used to take computers also. I guess calling to ask is the move.

Ah, good to know. Thanks.

Somerville will pick up your CRT television or computer monitor for free, but you need to notify them in advance by either phoning 311 or filling out an online form.
