Polaroid Film

I have one of those polaroid instant cameras. According to the camera, it's a one600. I am looking for film for it. I know I could get some off the internet (if I could figure out which kind I need), but I am hoping there is somewhere in town I can pick some up.

Any ideas?

Most film is expired by now, but expired film will give you some pretty great color artifacts.

Unfortunately, Polaroid stopped producing film for that camera in 2008; local pickup is extremely unlikely.

There's a group called The Impossible Project which still makes sepia-tone film for 600 cameras, but I've never actually seen any for sale in a store anywhere.

I saw someone a couple years ago using Fuji film in his Polaroid; I guess they make some compatible film. That's probably not very helpful, though.

As Srakkt indicated, the impossible project makes it for purchase.

It's CRAZY expensive, though.
