rcn and comcast

I moved to Somerville a year ago and got Comcast for cable and internet.  I am happy with service but price just jumped $95 to $143 and Comcast says I no longer qualify for any bundle offer.  RCN seems to have  three year price guarantee of $79, $89 and then $99.  Doe anyone have an opinion on either service and if I should switch?

Last time I used RCN was about 4 years ago, don't remember too many issues with the actual service, but customer service was horrible. This may have changed in four years though.

Hope springs eternal. I and others have been saying the same for decades. Don't go with RCN.

The problem is Comcast isn't any better, IME. They seem to be racing for "least useful customer service in exchange for greater profits".

Indeed. I'm relatively happy with RCN, but I just do my own tech support.

Comcast are actively evil. RCN hasn't made this publically known, but I don't hold my breath.
