Davis square shoe repair

I went in to pick up shoes from the place in the plaza today. He said he's leaving this weekend for Armenia for at least a month, possibly more. So if any of you have shoes there, go rescue them.

Noooooooo I was going to swing by tomorrow for advice on some possible repairs. Seeing as nearly all of the shoe repair threads inevitably lead to Savas, does anyone have any other recommendations for shoe/leather repair?

Random fun fact: Savas fixed a pair of shoes for me that "couldn't be fixed" according to the manufacturer and made them far more comfortable and hard-wearing. While I was there, I asked him about all the shoes he has... apparently, they're shoes people just left there and he hangs onto them in case the owner ever shows up (and pays the hefty bill leaving their stuff there racks up).

He's also been very good about turning me away when he thinks a shoe just isn't worth fixing anymore. I don't know where I'll go for my repairs when he inevitably retires.
