food, blanket, and clothing donations?

I have some unopened canned goods, some unopened toiletry products, some lightly used, utilitarian but very warm bedding and two winter coats that I would like to donate. I checked on the Somerville Homeless Coalition website, and it seems that they would take the canned goods and toiletries, but only take new household items like bedding. Does anyone know of a good place that would take some lightly used blankets, sheets, comforters, etc., and also the winter coats?

From Davis Sq you'd need transportation, but the Big Brother's / Big Sister's Donation Stations accept everything. (I've given clothes, books, household items, electronics, etc). I drop off at the donation station at the Stop and Shop on Pleasant St. in Watertown, just past Russo's.

It's a tractor-trailer box in the parking lot, but it's actually staffed by human beings. (of course, I've also seen people leave stuff when staff isn't around, too).

They'll do pickups at your house, too: https://www.bbbsfoundation.org/DonationPickUp
