Construction has stirred up rats in our neighborhood, and the landlord wants us to get rid of the compost bin & compost. (Yes, I know, but he doesn't listen, and it's not my property and not my decision). Nobody here has a car, much less a truck. Anybody want the compost? You're welcome to the Earth Machine too if you want it, but the bolts that secured it to the ground were gone when I moved in and it's just sitting on the ground loose.

Curious, if a person does want to compost but does not but want to be a composter themselves, is there a place in the community open to such....donations?

If I'm not mistaken, there's a group that collects compost at the Armory on farmers' market days.

I go to the market almost every week, and have not seen any compost collection this winter.

Prospect Street Whole Foods in Central Square

The St. Peter's Field parking lot on Sherman Street in North Cambridge has a pilot program through May 2. The (publicized) combination to the toters is 4800.
