Come join us at MonkeyQueer Central!!! We have a beautiful 3 BR apartment that is a less than 5 min. walk to Davis Sq. The apartment is the entire 1st floor of the house plus 2 bedrooms on the 2nd floor. The room available for rent is on the 2nd floor and is the smallest of the three bedrooms (which is reflected in its cost) with ample closet space, windows and a ceiling fan. There are 2 living rooms with large windows, hardwood floors, an eat-in kitchen with a pantry, dishwasher, front and back (enclosed) porch, yard, on-street parking, W\D & storage. Unfortunately, we cannot accept pets or indoor smokers (none of the current residents are smokers). There is no lease to sign, but we are looking for a medium to long-term commitment. The rent for the room is $520 + utilities, which include electric, gas and our beloved high speed wireless internet. We’re open to the possibility of cable as well.

We are looking for a queer/trans/poly/kink friendly roommate in their mid-20s to mid-30s. You certainly do not have to identify as any of these/be a part of any of these communities, but since we do/are, having a roommate who is accepting and understanding of this is very important to us.

You should be a grad student/professional who’s independent and respectful of others, likes a clean house and is willing to work to keep it that way, and tends towards the relaxed/quiet side rather than the party/loud side. We actively cultivate a social atmosphere in our house and are very welcoming to friends, guests and social gatherings. However, we prefer to not live with raucous or obnoxious folks.

bonnie and chuck have extensive experience in shared living environments. We are in our late 20s and more then a bit funky. Living outside of Davis Sq. makes us very happy and we are in complete love with the Camberville area in general. We each have a wide spectrum of friends and hobbies. Our interests include (separately and together) cooking, knitting, zombies, aerial dance, romance novels, sock monkeys, live music, word games, comic books, puzzles, artfully crafted microbrews and experimental desserts.

Also part of the household is Jack, a 22-year-old professional with regular habits and a 9 to 5. He is very shy but incredibly open-minded and spends a lot of time at home, but generally in his room cheerfully working on novels that nobody wants to publish. From September to December, his partner Alex, a 25-year-old student who is in town interning for the UU church, will be sleeping in his room and sharing the costs and chores of the household. Alex is even shyer than Jack and is obsessed with a bizarre combination of video games and Western philosophy. Both Alex and Jack are female-to-male transsexuals, well into transition and living fully as male.
