For you travelers out there?

If you had very little money to spend (like, $8-900 TOPS for everything, air, lodging, rental car if necessary), and only a week (MAYBE 9-10 days),where's a neat place to go? I'm looking for somewhere in the US that's different from where I've spent most of my life (Boston/New England), or somewhere in the Europe vicinity that's cheap-would love to see some suggestions from people who have been there, done that...! :)

Iceland Air has GREAT prices to Europe. I stayed in Amsterdam for 9 days and spend about $900 on the trip total. You just have to not mind staying in a hostel.

Yes, I've seen their specials-I know you can pick one of many cities around there (Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Oslo, Glasgow...), and do a special-and with a cheap trip on the side to Reykjavik thrown in as well. Granted, I'm sure all those places a mite chilly in March-which, of course, is why they're so cheap then, eh? :)

No... long out, stuck in the corporate world. I teach Improv, though, when I'm not playing desk jockey. That's my "class" reference.

Ah-me too, but I'm starting the library school thing soon, part-time. :) Improv-that's cool, but scary (for me)!
