Tiny House Festival in Somervile, September 20

I just now saw this on Facebook, and since it looks like no one has posted about it here, I will. :-) I love tiny houses and hope to have one someday! Deets:


Tiny House Festival at 10 Poplar Street in Somerville, Saturday September 20 from 3PM to 7PM.

It's accessible via the 80 bus if that's helpful, perhaps other routes as well. I'm so excited about seeing all the tiny houses! Maybe catch some of you there. :-)

I'm pretty sure Somerville can't prevent tiny houses if they're on wheels or a trailer and thereby classifiable as recreational vehicles. As long as they're on a private property. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

But of course that's not as good as zoning for permanent tiny houses, which I hope we'll have someday.

They can't prohibit you from parking one on private property, but I'm pretty sure they *can* prohibit people actually living in one. Of course, if the neighbors don't complain, nobody would be the wiser....
