Outdoor festivals all over Somerville and Cambridge this weekend!
Greek Music and Food Festival, Dormition Church, 29 Central Street (just up the hill from Somerville Ave). Friday 5-11 pm; Saturday noon-11 pm; Sunday noon-9 pm. Also serving a limited lunch menu Friday starting at noon.
Italian Feast of Saints Cosmas and Damian, Warren and Porter streets, East Cambridge (just over the Somerville line, a few blocks down Medford Street from Target). Saturday 2-11 pm; Sunday 1-10:30 pm. On Sunday they also have a parade all afternoon, which wanders into the part of Somerville between Union Square, Washington Street, and Target.
Zero-Waste Celebration / Party on the Community Path in front of Lexington Park. Saturday 2-6 pm. Please bring your own re-usable plates and silverware to this event. Postponed to Saturday 9/20 because of expected rain on 9/6
Strike Up the Bands SomerStreets festival, Holland Street between Davis and Teele squares. Sunday noon-4 pm.
Rock and Roll Yard Sale, Union Square. Sunday 11 am-5 pm.
Cambridge Caribbean Carnival, Kendall Square. Sunday noon-6:30 pm. Parade starts at 12:30 on River Street and marches through Central Square to Kendall.
