It's interesting how inconsistent enforcement is, though. There have been times I've gone months past inspection without ever noticing it without any problem. And one time when my sticker expired at the end of the year and I was pulled over as part of a checkpoint in Central Square on January 2. But it was pretty obvious they were using the excuse to look for bigger bad guys so I was let off with a warning.

It was pretty embarrassing since I had clients in the car, but it would have been far worse if I'd also gotten a ticket and/or had my car towed. (The clients were very understanding.)
