Pets in Need is still around: I just adopted a cat from them couple of weeks ago, although not from the Somerville location. I am a HUGE fan, and they are the shelter I have gone to for cat adoptions in the past as well. I know they were having trouble with their website, and it does seem to be completely down now (although it was working as recently as a week or two ago).
