Rock & Roll Yard Sale, Red Heroine, Viva La Vinal all postponed to Sunday
Due to expected heavy rain on Saturday, both of this weekend's ArtsUnion events have been postponed to Sunday, September 7.
From 3-7pm, come by the plaza in Union Square and check out the Rock 'n' Roll Yard Sale, which will feature vendors from Somerville and all over New England set up flea market style selling everything from vinyl records and vintage clothing to handmade crafts, art and jewelry, vegan cupcakes and other snacks, and whatever gets dragged out of the closet! For more info, visit http://www.myspace.com/providencerockandrollyardsale
Stay in Union Square for the evening and enjoy a live musical presentation by Devil Music Ensemble, starting at 8pm, taking place in the parking lot in front of the Independent at 8pm. Devil Music Ensemble creates a live soundtrack performance to Red Heroine, a silent martial arts film from China 1929. For more info, visit Devil Music.
The second day of Viva La Vinal is also postponed to Sunday, 4 to 10 pm at the Community Growing Center.
I haven't yet heard what effect the weather will have on Somerville's other local outdoor events this weekend.
