Single issue voter

Hello,

Can someone tell me who caters least to families, children, and "no turn between 7-9 a.m." signs in the upcoming election?

Thanks!

How would you feel about a huge price hike at virtually every service-industry place you frequent? Remove public education and all the lower-skilled (but still requiring a degree of literacy) jobs suddenly become much more expensive to fill. Say goodbye to stores open 24 hours, say goodbye to cheap take-out/delivery, etc etc etc.

Pay for it in education or pay for it in a huge number of unemployable people in society (= crime) and a serious shortage of lower skilled but still literate folks to fill those jobs (and therefore a huge increase in the wages for those people, and a corresponding increase in the goods and services they sell you).

And I quote:

I'm in favor of sweeping taxation when that money is applied to facets of society and our lives that are inevitable. Roads, trash pick up, health care, things that everyone enjoys.

School simply isn't one of those things.

End quote.

I'm simply explaining to you how education of children (your own or not) is something that everyone enjoys... and thus, under your rubric, should be funded by "sweeping taxation."
