cheap haircut?

where can I get a cheap haircut in Cambridge/Somerville?
I've lived in MA for a year and have yet to cut my hair...
It needs to be cut badly.
its thick and straight so I don't need anything special....

50% off at SuperCuts (http://www.supercuts.com/oprah_deal.html), nearest to you would be the one on Mass Ave Cambridge near Porter Square.

or if you prefer local business there's a barber shop in davis. get off at the train, walk away from the movie theatre about two blocks. it's just past "used sounds" (used music equipment store). all haircuts are just $10 and they have cool old timey barbershop chairs.

I would definitely check out some of the local places rather than the chains like Supercuts. I have found recently that the people that work at the chains are usually either just out of cosmetology school or have very poor social skills or both. I'm sure that they are not all like that. That has just been my experience the last 2 times that I made the mistake of going to Supercuts or the more expensive John Dellaria. I think the people who work at the chains work there because they can't get jobs at the better independent salons.

I use Andrea at Salon Femia (near JP licks) It's a cute place owned by two sisters. I pay around $30, half as much as you'd pay in Boston. Boston style at Somerville prices!
