How are we supposed to get rid of old tvs?

there's about three on my street that the trash guys don't take.

You could also try making a post on Craigslist or Freecycle to tell people about them...I once posted to give away a ~15-year-old, 17" TV on Craigslist and got an overwhelming number of responses.

I don't know if any work and quite a few are buried under snow. I'd actually grab one of them (it's a nice size) if I knew if it would work and not explode when plugged in.

They also aren't my tvs.
