How are we supposed to get rid of old tvs?

there's about three on my street that the trash guys don't take.

the weird part is that they generally sit on the street for a few weeks, eventually get smashed and then quietly disappear.

Well, they have to call 311 to get a pickup. Most people just put out with the trash and they sit...until someone else calls 311.
