Anyone here attend the Jazz/Blues Festival event at PowderHouse Park on Sat.?

What a fine event! Made me wonder why the park is not used for more summertime activities..... concerts, films, and the like.

I did (but you know that already;-)

The Mayor's Senior Picnic is held there every summer, but I can't think of any other such event.

I was too busy to actually go, but I got to hear the music all day from my balcony one street over. :-) It sounded great, and it was also wonderful to hear children playing and the park being used. I hope more events like that can happen in this lovely and under-used park.

locally performed shakespeare has been done at the the park in the past

Open Air Circus will have classes there this summer

I'll be making use of the park by getting married in it this weekend! :) But.. obviously... that is not what you are referring to.
