Trying to replace iPod
UPDATE: I show 5 people have signed up. I'm still waiting for their stuff to process, but I'm going to trust that it will. Thank you! If you are still interested in freeipods.com, use someone else's info in the comments. I'll post when I actually get my iPod. THANK YOU!
As I reported last week, my iPod was stolen from my car. One of my friends at MIT mentioned that he got an iPod for free using free iPods.com ( he has an iPod from them, he paid nothing to anyone. This site was also on the local news last week as legite, if confusing).
Since I can't afford a second iPod, I'm thinking of giving it a try. The catch is, I need 5 people to also give it a try. Are any of you kind souls willing to also try for a free iPod? My friend at MIT posted to a online board there to get his, so I'm trying here. How does this work?
1)5 people go http://www.freeiPods.com/default.aspx?referer=7013555
2)Once there, fill out the questions, and for your try something option select ancestry.com. Tomorrow morning (or anytime in the next 14 days), call ancestry.com and cancel before your free trial becomes a paid membership). You can also, of course, opt in for something you want that costs money :)
3)Post your referral URL as a comment to this. As soon as I have 5 people, I'll post a comment (or can you update messages?).
I feel real slimy posting this. My MIT friends assures me this is all legit, and neither of us can figure out who this is getting paid for, but... I just want an iPod.

5 for all
Re: 5 for all
I need just a few people. I'm doing an offer for you now. :)

Thanks to all your help, it shows that 4 people have logged on, but their offers either haven't been completed or haven't been processed.
I just need these 4 people to finish, and 1 more warm body to try. Then 5 people can help these
THANK YOU! While I will never leave my car unlocked in David ever again, I will trust the kindness of people in Davis Square with LJ accounts :)
