Parking Hearing TOMORROW (Aug 13)

Reminder: there's a parking hearing TOMORROW, Aug 13 (Thursday) at 6 pm. See:

http://www.somervillema.gov/NewsDetail.cfm?instance_id=1493

apparently according to the above link, this hearing will either result in all traffic rules reverting to what they were prior to May, or keeping all rules. No modifications are possible.

This is annoying, since they've already changed the meters, so it would cost money to change them back. So there would be resistance to "going back". I feel like they've manipulated things so that we would be forced to keep the new, stupid rules.

So let's find out how much money, and then maybe a contingency plan can be come up with. Or, it can be compared to the financial impact it would likely have on residents and businesses.

I only attended part of today's hearing, and didn't speak or stay to the end. BUT, the agenda had a separate item and vote for each of the May changes -- raising meter rates, extending meter hours, and citywide residential parking.
