Local broom maker?

This may be totally off-the-wall but I'm looking to buy a handmade broom and would prefer to buy one locally. Does anyone know of a local(ish) broom maker? I have a car and am willing to drive quite a ways -- an hour or so -- so you could define "locally" in a very broad sense. All the online places seem to be out of Kentucky or N.C.

I don't know of any such place but, what's the name, the chair re-caning place on Elm St. across from Subway and the ex-Carberry's/O'Natural's/Green Tomato space seems like the kind of people who would. The Caning Shoppe (http://www.caningshoppe.com/), that's the name.

Oh! I thought of something from the distant past.... going to Old Sturbridge Village and watching them make brooms. I bet they sell them in the Gift Shoppe!

They definitely sell brooms made on the premises in the gift shop. And I know they've offered classes in making the brooms in one of the workshops, using reproduction machines and techniques -- real broom straw, et cetera!

Try Diagon Alley.

Try the gift shops of Salem. You know, the whole witch motif, brooms...

You could make a nice afternoon of it, with this nice weather.

Shaker village in Canterbury NH. though I bet you can find one closer.

Out of curiosity, is this for a wedding?
