beer brewing kit

I want to get my brother a beer brewing kit, does anyone know if any of the local brew shops offer kits?

oh, also, bacon salt? anywhere local?

I don't know if they have a specifically prepackaged equipment kit (They definitely have prepackaged ingredient kits), but Modern Homebrew on Mass Ave will have everything you need.
