Looking for a Candy Thermometer

Hi! Can any one think of a Cambridge/Somerville store that might sell candy thermometers? I've tried a few big supermarkets and they have meat thermometers but those don't go up high enough in temperature.

If anyone has any suggestions, I'd appreciate it!

Thanks!

Edited: Woo hoo! I called Tags and they say they carry them. Thanks for the suggestions all.

Now I can try my hand at these Fleur De Sel Caramels by Barefoot Contessa! :)

Tags? I'd call them and ask at any rate.

Crate and Barrel in Harvard Square should have one if all else fails.

Tags in Porter?

If you find yourself in a dire scrap or prefer not to buy one, I may have one you could borrow, but I won't know til I get home in a couple hours.

If you mean the one on Brattle St, that closed a while ago, unfortunately. There's another C&B out Mass Ave toward Central, but I thought it was just furniture.

oh no :(. I was going to go there for last minute mom christmas presents haha. Thanks for telling me.

Yeah the one on Mass ave is just furniture.

Why did all of the bowl and boards have to close :(

China Fair?

Maybe China Fair has them - Mass Ave.

Tags, definitely.

I know! It's a lot harder to find kitchen stuff now. Tags is pretty much it. By the way, you may be interested in the NPR series that covered the collapse of the Bowl & Board chain:

It's kind of heartwrenching.

It would probably be a good idea to share them with everyone who helped you find a candy thermometer. ;-)

FYI, according to the comments, some of the measurements on that page are incorrect (that is, they don't match the recipe Ina actually made). The corrected recipe is here: http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/Fleur-de-Sel-Caramels-230778

They had them last week when I was there.
