red checkered tablecloths?

I am doing an "Italian" themed NY's party w/ homemade pizza, calzones, etc. and want some 'stage dressing' - those red-checkered cafe style tablecloths. Haven't found them so far.

Have been to:
--China Fair
--Tags
--Target
--Bed Bath and Whatever
--AC Moore

I would venture the North End but have no idea where to look over there. So rather than just wandering around aimlessly and/or giving up - I thought I would ask here (since it is so Davis specific... ;-)

Appreciate any tips.

Oh - btw - China Fair sells a cute espresso cup/saucer for $1.99 for both. A real bargain.

not sure what your time constraints are, but they've had them the last few times i've been to tags, so you may want to ask and see when/if they'll be getting more in.

if nothing else turns up, i mean, of course. :)

Have you tried a restaurant-supply place? ISTR there's oen or two of those around that'll sell to the public, but unfortunately I can't remember any specific ones.

In the past I have seen plastic checker board tablecloths at the Family Dollar in Davis, but I haven't been in there in a long time so I can't promise they still have them.

If you want table cloths, this may not work, but a lot of fabric stores (Chinatown has several, and there's one on Mass. Ave in Arlington) sell that fabric. Cut it to size and ignore the ragged edges.

There is a paper/party goods store on Mass Ave in Arlington. I googled them and I think their website is paperandmoreparty.com. Their phone # is on the site.

Maybe the iParty store at the Meadow Glen Mall in Medford would have them?

Paper and More in Arlington (on the 77 bus) often has them, as does Playtime (77, 87 bus from Somerville) in Arlington Center. I thought Tags used to have it too. I am talking about the plastic tablecloths, not cloth.

Unfortunately, stores consider that a summer-specific item so it can be hard to find. But party stores may also have it, I just like to use the independents first :)
