Tufts is doing their annual Community Day on Sunday.  Free picnic, student entertainment, lots of displays and info - both Tufts and community groups.  Entertainment for the kids.

Runs from 11 am to 3 pm on the Academic Quad.


I miss the lectures and discussions they had back in Year 1.  They need to bring those back.

Due to the unprecedented poor growing conditions of the 2009 season,which has caused enormous crop losses and is putting the future of the farm in grave danger,I am forced to suspend CSA drop offs for the balance of the season.I will be issuing refunds in the form of vouchers that can be redeemed at the stand at the various farmers markets I attend during the 2010 season.

in addition to the above,you may also continue to use your 25% member discount at the union and Central sq farmers markets for the 2009 season.Please share this news with your fellow members as on top of everything else this year,my hard drive crashed taking my e-mail list with it.

GRAPES!!!!!

The community grapes in Kenney Park are ripe for the picking!

Kenney Park is on the corner of Highland Ave and Grove Street, right across from the Rite-Aid-Osco-whatever-it-is-today, in Davis. The grapes are very, very high up on the fence between the park and the parking lot on Grove St. You'll need a ladder. Or some stilts...

The grapes have seeds!

Make grape juice with the kids! (Put the grapes in a cotton cloth and have the kids squeeze the juice out into a bowl for the most fun and mess.)

EDIT: It's Kenney park, not Kennedy. Whoops!
