picnic spots?

Local spots {not necessarily Somerville} that are nice for picnics that allow for cookouts. Bonus points if they have bbq pits/grills. TIA

As of a few years ago, Blue Hills Reservation had some picnic sites with grills.
Purgatory Chasm is probably too far away to be "local", and I'm not sure their picnic spot has a grill.

Every time we went swimming at Shannon / Memorial Beach on the Mystic Lakes in Winchester (it's on Mystic Valley Parkway, and only about a 15 minute bike ride from this end of Somerville) there were a zillion people picnicking with portable grills set up. Swimming area, rest rooms, playground, and a big grassy green area.

Arsenal Park (I think it's called) in Watertown, sort of hidden away behind the Arsenal Mall. It's got a huge field, playground, grills, picnic tables, everything.

Powder House Park is a lovely place for a picnic but I doubt that it has any cooking facilities.
