What To Do With Magazines

Anybody know of anywhere that takes donations of magazines, or anyone else that might want them? I've got tons of Economists with the occasional Wired or Scientific American, and I hate to recycle them, but they've gotta go somewhere!

Some mixed media artists might want them for their artwork. Ask at one of the local studio buildings?

I might be interested in some Scientific American (I'm an art teacher).

My email is bubblewrap@gmail.com

There are never enough magazine to read at my gym, but I'm afraid they might just throw them out when they get too dog-eared.

In the past I've had good luck getting rid of magazines via the Somerville FreeCycle mailing list, or its counterparts in Cambridge and Arlington.

By the way, does anyone want a couple years' worth of New Yorkers and New York Review of Books that I'm about to get rid of?

The MGH "One Way Library" in association with the MGH Volunteer Department is in need of your new or used books and current magazines. All donated books and magazines are distributed by the MGH volunteers and provided free of charge to inpatients at the MGH.

Books and magazines of any topic are accepted Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 7 pm. We are unable to accept textbooks and magazines printed more than three months ago.

If you have any reading materials that you would like to donate, please bring them to the Volunteer Department (GRB 015).

If you have any questions, please call 617-726-8540.

Thank you,

The MGH Volunteer Team
