Have You Seen This Cat?

We've just come home from a month in Argentina. One of our cats is missing. The folks who were taking care of him said he took off and didn't come home about two weeks ago, and that ten days ago someone left his collar on the front porch with no cat inside it. We live in Ball Sq. You may know him if you live around here, he's a very friendly cat. Have any of you seen him, or know where he might be? We'd very much like him to come home.

It's hard to tell from the picture...Is the cat black or grey? Any unusual markings? I saw an unfamiliar black cat w/white paws on Francesca yesterday.

Be sure to call 311 and tell Animal Control, in case someone who doesn't read this spots him and calls them.

Has your cat ever removed his collar on his own? (Actually, if he got it stuck on a fence, he could have removed it that way, too.)

Yes! I live near Pearson & Kidder and he's been coming around lately; most recently that I remember was Tuesday. PM me your contact info and I will tell my roommates to keep an eye out for him.

Yes! We've seen him quite a few times around the neighborhood. We live on Prichard Ave and he's followed us up our front porch steps and tried to make his way into the house. Such a total sweetie!

I wished we had known it was your kitty, we would have brought him in. The last time we saw him was maybe a week & a half ago, but haven't seen him since. We put out some food & water for him the last time, but he hasn't come back. If we do see him we'll let him in the house next time and let you know!

Pearson and Kidder!

He's definitely haunting the Pearson and Kidder Ave area. I saw him the other day late at night when I was out with my dog. Maybe Wednesday? I remember thinking he looked like a sweet kitty. You should check around over here.

I would definitely look into other catsitters, if your cat "took off" two weeks ago and they didn't bother to tell you about it til you got back. Did they even do anything to try to find him between when he disappeared and now?

I saw a thin grey cat around 80ish Boston Ave late last night. I see him sometimes on our late-night walks. If he's yours, still MIA, and you want me to let you know when I see him again, just drop me a line w/ your # and I'll text you.

Sighted a cat that was at least quite similar this evening. Watched me but retreated when I approached. I met the cat at 60 Pearson on the Pearson side; the cat went behind the house and re-emerged at the Kidder driveway of that house, then after hanging out there a while went back to Pearson and vanished behind 47 Pearson.

That whole natural camouflage thing then took over -- no way to stalk a dark grey cat in the dusk, I'm afraid.

I saw a cat that looked a lot like this one who climbed onto our porch just off Curtis Street up by Tufts. My cat saw a gray cat on the porch and got very excited. This cat saw me looking out at him/her and ran away. This was Friday night.

Cat Found!

FYI to all, the OP posted in her LJ (http://redheadedmuse.livejournal.com/490172.html) (possibly meant to post it here :) that the cat has been found and is safe at home.

Yay! And nice job, community. :)
