Musician Practice Space that ISN'T Jamspot

I'm considering going in on a practice space with some friends and I was wondering what's around and what monthly rent usually is. For whatever reason these things never seem to have any info online. Also please please please don't say jam spot...i'm looking for something less expensive where I can safely keep my instruments stashed for long periods of time.

I use Charlestown Rehearsal Studios (http://www.charlestownrehearsalstudios.com/). It's $350/month for the smallest room (which is pretty big compared to some I've had). If you can show a student (or any college) ID you get 10% off that.

Additionally, these studios are cleaner and far nicer than most practice spaces I've seen!

The Sound Museum is pretty decent.

Not JamSpot

I'm also at the Charlestown space. I might suggest calling the office to find out if they know of anyone looking for a "roommate". I'm sharing a room over there and it works out well. We get a bigger room for less $$ per person and we practice opposite nights of the week so there's no conflict there either.

Here's an e-mail that was just sent to the Somerville Arts Council mailing list:

Artist space or band rehearsal space available in Somerville. We have a large studio in the old Somerville paper mill next to Market Basket on Somerville Boulevard. There are currently three bands sharing the space and we need to find an artist who would want to use the space during the day or another band to share a night schedule (or preferably day). There is plenty of room to keep equipment set up. The rent is $200/month.
