DPW FTW

I went down my street to do some cleaning of branches and piled up leaves out of the storm drains. Then, about 10 min later a DPW truck came through with a giant vacuum sucking out the drains. We saw the truck earlier on our morning ride. They seem to be looping around trying to keep things clear.

Color me impressed.

Also, Cambervillains FTW. A few huge boughs have fallen on Powder House Blvd. and within minutes, one of my neighbors has run out to clear the street. If the boy running outside in boxers and a tshirt is reading this - thank you!

there were a couple dpw trucks and workmen on my street about half an hour ago cutting down a tree, or at least trimming branches. i could hear them but not quite see them, altho i could see the branch-eating truck, so i'm not sure what exactly they did. but whatever it was, i assumed it was to minimize storm damage and prevent power outages, so i too was impressed.

This morning around 9:30 I saw DPW tree crews in Seven Hills Park. I didn't get close enough to observe what they were doing.

they were too early, we saw an entire tree uprooted around 11:15am (we had walked into the square around 10:45 am and it was up and on our way back shortly later, it was down).

they were also along the bike path heading towards arlington clearing the drains so the monster puddles could clear
