City of Somerville parking survey

Somerville is doing an online survey on parking in the city and dealing with the Traffic & Parking Department.

One of the questions is "Have you ever visited the Somerville Traffic & Parking website? (http://parksomerville.com)". Sadly, the only answers are "Yes" and "No", or I would have said, "No, because I'd never heard of it -- good job on promoting that!".

And then, on question 14 of 14, I learn that this survey is only for people how currently live in somerville.

(No, but I have lived in Medford, Somerville, Cambridge, Belmont and Waltham, over the last 20 years.)

Glad I saw this before I started! I just moved out of Somerville about 4 months ago, but I was interested in taking the survey because I actually dealt with the parking office AND website quite a bit related to the move. Oh well!

All of the questions are optional.

I only answered one question. In the general comments box, I asked them to remove resident parking restrictions from the streets that don't need them.

parksomerville.com is the Traffic & Parking link on www.somervillema.gov, which I have used for paying tickets. I had not noticed that the url changed when you follow the link, but that doesn't seem that important.

As someone who writes questionnaires as part of my day job, this one isn't very well written. To wit, question 8 assumes a certain notion. Alternatively, it'd be better to ask whether the respondent knows about the ParkCard, then ask (as appropriate) why they use it or don't. Thus, I'm not sure how they're going to get a lot of good data from it.
