Trash and recycling pickup on regular schedule next week

According to a robo-call and e-mail from Tom Champion, the city will pick up trash and recycling on its usual day next week (notwithstanding the legal holiday on Monday, January 2).

Today in Ten Hills, only recycling was picked up.

Is your normal trash day Thursday or Friday? You should call 311.

Normally friday - so, based on what I'd read here (http://davis-square.livejournal.com/2807860.html) I figured it might be picked up today.

Despite what the city was saying, my neighborhood had trash pickup on the normal day and the next day, but recycling pickup on the next day only, this week. This was near Pearl & McGrath, normal pickup on Thursday.

The fascinating bit is that you're supposed to call 311 with any questions… and I believe they're closed from now til after this is all over, no? (I know they're not staffed overnight, are they staffed 7x16? 7x8?)

The robocall included something about holiday parking going into effect today; did anyone catch that? It was not in the email version.
