trash day map?

Is there a map online, or a database from which a map could be built, of where trash pickup happens each day of the week near Davis, or for all of Somerville or Cambridge?

For Somerville:

Map

Address-based lookup (also tells you your street-sweeping days, your local and state elected officials, your ward and precinct numbers, and your polling place location).

I'm adding that lookup form to the list of useful local links on the [livejournal.com profile] davis_square profile page.

"The States"? "Duck Village"??
I've never heard either of those areas referred to by those names before.

'The States' comes from the names of all the streets in that area - Pennsylvania, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, etc. Another name for the area is Mount Benedict, for a large hill that used to be there. (A small remnant still exists on nearby Austin and Benedict streets.)

Here's the predominating local explanation of 'Duck Village':
There once was a crime problem around Beacon and Washington streets. Some thought the crime was that federal agents were chasing local entrepreneurs. Others thought the problem was those selling illegal alcohol who, when pursued, would duck into the maze of streets making up the neighborhood. Either way, no matter whose side you were on, the neighborhood became known as "Duck Village" for the folks who would duck in and out of workers' homes and yards to avoid police.
