Somerville History

Wondering if someone could help out with some history.  Last year I remembered watching a very in-depth television segment on the revolutionary war and the role Somerville played in it.  It was a very intriguing segment and I have told a few people about it but I haven't seen it since. I'm pretty sure it was the local public broadcast channel. Any ideas where I might be able to get a copy?

UPDATE: Somerville Cable Channel is sending me a DVD of the video for $11. Thanks for the help everyone!

Back then it would still have been Charlestown, as Somerville didn't separate from it and become its own town until 1842.

The two most important Revolutionary-era places in today's Somerville are Prospect Hill (where some of George Washington's army camped out, and where the first American flag was raised), and the Old Powder House (where the British made off with gunpowder that the colonists thought belonged to them).

Have you asked anyone at WGBH about this? If it aired on their channel, I hope someone there would remember it.

Somerville has SCATV, channel 3 on cable. Call them up and ask, if you think you saw the program there.

Don't know about the film in question and would be delighted to learn more.

For some basic background, here's an old but still useful pamphlet, courtesy of the Somerville Historic Preservation Commission:

I would like to learn more, too! As a local dog walker, I try to incorporate Somerville history into our walks and blog about it, so I would love to see this film segment.

Where is your blog?

Historic (dog) Walking Tours is here (http://historictours.wordpress.com). I posted it here a couple of weeks ago, so didn't want to seem like a PIA self-promoter by posting it again. But that's why I would love to know what this TV segment was. :)
