I believe she was safely found in Lexington and returned to her family, if it's the same person I saw postings about on Facebook yesterday.

Holy crap, she made it to Lexington (probably via bus)? So glad she was found safe, that's such a scary illness... a woman in my new neck of the woods wasnt so fortunate, recently. :(

From Union Square, you'd have to take at least three buses to get to Lexington. Doesn't sound much like dementia to me...

That's the opposite of the truth.

My boyfriend's grandmother lives at a Alzheimer's facility in Roxbury. They actually set up a fake bus stop at the end of their cul-de-sac drive. Every hour or so, they have a mini-bus pick up residents, drive them around the block; and by the time they return to the home, the passengers have forgotten what was going on, happily re-entering the building to continue going on about their business.

They have short-term memory loss, not incapacity to function.
