Tornado Warning LIFTED

Warning Lifted. Never mind.

There is was a Tornado Warning currently in effect. Somerville and Medford are not listed in the NWS bulletin, but the warning does show up on our forecasts.

The bulletin urges urged "Take cover now!"

For my part, I've put my kittens in a carrier, and am standing by for now. Warning is currently set to expire at 4:30, so we may have dodged this one ( or it dodged us).

that URL is really long and breaks my friends-page. Can you replace it with a link?

For you Ron, anything. Information can be found here (http://tinyurl.com/ksb5fkd) Or just use this handy-dandy Tinyurl: http://tinyurl.com/ksb5fkd

Incidentally the warning is now through 5:45. It keeps bopping around.

I could follow the link OK, but it was so wide that it put a horizontal scrollbar on my friends page. Stay safe, everyone.

Thanks. (That's why I waited until it was over to ask about fixing the link.)

I looked on the NWS site and they seem to think there is a Cambridge in Worcester County, MA as well as Our Fair City. That's where the tornado watch is in effect.

There are no storm sirens up here, right? Having grown up in the Atlanta area, tornado warnings are (unfortunately) old hat for me, with storm sirens all over the place. It's a little jarring to see that they happen here, too--though nowhere near as frequently as in Dixie Alley, thankfully!

I'm just glad there were no actual tornadoes yesterday. It was just rotating thunderstorms that were picked up on radar.
