Snow, snow, snow!

Hello, this is (someone who is totally not Jackie Rosetti reposting this here) from the City of Somerville with snow emergency information for Saturday, December 14th. Based on current weather projections, the City will be declaring a snow emergency effective at 2 PM Saturday afternoon.

During snow emergencies, parking is allowed on the odd-numbered side of the street only (unless otherwise posted). Cars not moved from the even numbered side of the street by 6 PM on Saturday
evening may be subject to ticketing and towing. Residents unable to find a parking space on the odd-numbered side of the street may park in any municipal lot or in designated school parking lots. Please also note that the City’s Illuminations Tour has been postponed until Sunday, Dec 15.

A map of available parking lots, and additional snow emergency information is available atwww.somervillema.gov/snow. If you have any additional questions, please call 311 (617-666-3311 from outside the City).

I gotta go buy milk.

If you don't want to go through Facebook and ow.ly redirects to find the parking map, here's the final URL:

But it is 2pm now and it hasn't even started snowing yet! I thought the snow wasn't supposed to come until evening?

Although I think the snow emergency was called a few hours too early, it really was starting to snow at 2 pm (as I was leaving the Armory winter farmers' market).

Stupid question-where is the Brown School lot? I have never noticed a parking lot at the Brown School. Having a party this afternoon/evening and may have to have people park there.

I don't know for sure, but looking at the parking map, and at Google's street view, it looks like the blacktop/playground area is also a parking lot. There is a gate and a curb cut on Josephine Street.
