Missing cat, Highland Rd.

Posting for Robin Moore (robin@mindspring.com) whose computer is playing up.  Mine (my phone) isn't being much more helpful.  If this lands in my personal journal, could someone please repost it to davis-square?  Thanks!

My cat Romeo, who I haven't had for very long, has gone AWOL, and in case he somehow managed to get out, please keep an eye out for him. He's an approximately 6-year-old brown tabby cat w/green eyes, with a bit of white on the chin, slightly tattered ears (he's a rescue cat), and seriously polydactyl--he has 7 toes on his front paws, and 5 on his back paws. He can be very friendly, but is still very skittish and easily spooked.

If you see him, please contact me ASAP at 617-776-6257 (home/evenings) or 617-501-6698 (cell). I'm starting a temp job tomorrow and won't be home, so if you see him between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. during the day, please call the cell number, and, if you can, try to lure him in and hold him for me, OK?

He's beautiful. I hope he comes home.

A trick which sometimes works is to put his litterbox out by the front door... Cats can track the odor of their own smell from amazingly long distances. Of course if someone else is taking care of him now this may not work, but if he gets outdoors again, he will most likely come home to you.
