need advice: vast tracts of women's clothing to unload

A relative with a clothes fetish and a changed life circumstance asked me to help her sell off a whole lot of good quality women's clothes (mostly blouses and dresses, size 8 to 14).  If I had, say, 3 or 4 items, I'd take them to a consignment shop, no big deal.  But 10' worth of closet pole is a couple hundred items - waaaaay too many to trot down to a shop for an eval - and I'm feeling pretty overwhelmed.

Anyone got advice for how to manage trying to sell off this kind of volume of clothes ?

I can look at the items, but unfortunately I cannot take anything until after September 1st or so.

If you want, you could email me at plrgcambridge@gmail.com, sometimes a pic or two can help me get a feel. If I cannot use it I could point you in the right direction as every shop has different taste. I would hate for you to schlepp the things all over and get frustrated!
